MoDevTablet 2012 video: Mobile Web Realities

Recently, I had the distinct pleasure of speaking at MoDevTablet where I gave a presentation entitled “Mobile Web Realities” and the good folks who put on the conference recorded it.

In summary: a year ago, hybrid development frameworks like PhoneGap that leverage HTML5 were poised to radically alter mobile app development, but the potential has failed to live up to the promise: Faster/Easier/Cheaper doesn’t always mean Better.
