Yesterday a new smartphone Wave was officially presented by Samsung. Some say that it is based on Linux. But it’s not that interesting as you just can’t expect a jailbreak or some kind of a root access from Samsung anytime soon. Their site states that BADA can be based on a real-time OS or Linux kernel, so I wouldn’t be so sure that it really does have Linux under the hood. Wave is allegedly capable of running Flash applications, which is very interesting. With that and Adobe announcing availability of AIR on mobiles JavaFX completely loses momentum and finds itself in a miserable position on the mobile market.
