We return to our occasional series in which put our ear to the ground to answer a question crucial to all of our jobs: Is Java dying? Opinions are mixed! No, because people who go to JavaOne are complainers so you can’t take what they say seriously, and companies have millions invested in Java apps, and there are tons of Java jobs advertised on Dice.com. Yes, because soon we’ll all be using all the other languages that run on the JVM, and a thousand languages will bloom, and I can’t wait until I can use Groovy at work, it’s going to be awesome.
