I predict: if Java ME doesn’t get on the iPhone soon, Sun will tout with increasing fervor the number of almost-iPhones that you can write Java apps for. Case in point: NetBeans is promoting its ability to write apps for the Samsung Instinct, labelled a “major iPhone competitor.” The logic being, apparently, that if you can’t join ’em, beat ’em.
