The Grey Lady (that’s the New York Times, for those of you not up in your archaic media terms) is the latest to float the idea that someone might want to buy Sun in a post on their DealBook blog. As for the suspects, the rehash old names (Fujitsu, HP) and one horrifying new one: Microsoft. I have a harder time imagining a more nightmarish mistake on the part of both companies, but then, it seemed baffling to me that MS would want Yahoo, too, so what do I know? I do know better than to refer to Java as “a popular scripting language” as Dealbook does, though. Technology Industry
