Borland TeamSource DSP unites dispersed development teams

Borland has announced Borland TeamSource development services platform (DSP), a collaborative development platform for distributed teams to rapidly develop e-business applications. TeamSource features a high-performance hosted infrastructure, source code management, and integrated business messaging that unites widely dispersed teams and provides a secure environment that scales up or down with development teams as they collaborate across the firewall. Borland will announce general availability and pricing of TeamSource by the end of third quarter 2001.

DWL, Sun, and iPlanet introduce transactional CRM solution

DWL Incorporated, Sun Microsystems, and iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions, have made available an Enterprise JavaBeans architecture-based transactional CRM (customer relationship management) solution. Built on DWL Unifi Engine, powered by iPlanet Application Server, Enterprise Edition software, and supporting Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition, the solution will help financial services and insurance companies consolidate backend legacy and administrative systems to create personalized portals that support CRM functionality.

Aligo and Sun partner for mobile development

ATG Dynamo e-Business Platform Version 5.5 now available

The e-Business Platform 5.5, the latest version of ATG (Art Technology Group) Dynamo, includes enhancements designed to support the development and management of enterprise-wide Web initiatives with scenario-based personalization and relationship management capabilities. The ATG Dynamo e-Business Platform also includes support for the ATG Dynamo Application Server and will deploy on third-party Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition application servers.

Cape Clear launches RAD tool for Web services

Cape Clear Software has released a beta version of CapeStudio, a rapid application development (RAD) tool that enables software developers to graphically build and deploy Web services. CapeStudio automatically generates code for Java or Visual Basic from Web services description language (WSDL) files, which describe the interfaces to Web services. CapeStudio also provides a graphical environment for defining bidirectional transformations between XML documents and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) messages.

BEA adds J-Integra to WebLogic

TraceBack debugs Java apps

InCert Software has launched TraceBack 1.0 for Java, a program that detects and alerts operations personnel to hung or crashed applications. Embedded into the application, TraceBack catches crashes and hangs, freezes the disruptive code, and delivers a root cause analysis of the code problems causing the fault.
