Cinnabar introduces its first products

October 31 — Cinnabar Systems has released its first two products: Cinnabar Canner and Cinnabar License Manager. Cinnabar Canner protects Java-based applications from decompilation and reverse engineering by embedding an encrypted version of the application’s classes and resources into a native Windows executable. Cinnabar License Manager (CLM) lets clients enforce their programs’ licensing terms at runtime.

Parasoft updates Jtest

October 31 — Parasoft’s Jtest 5.0 is now equipped with new JUnit test generation capabilities and automated code correction capabilities. Other features include: memory leak detection during unit testing, team-wide sharing of test settings and files, new test configuration and execution options, and a new user interface.

Oak Grove Systems fires up Reactor

October 31 — Oak Grove Systems has enhanced its Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE)-based, XML-driven Reactor workflow engine. Reactor 5.5 now provides reusable process components, integrated forms, graphical routing rules, business activity monitoring, and improved audit logging and work list management.

Teamstudio adds two new tools

October 31 — Teamstudio has released Edition 4 of its Teamstudio for Java suite. Edition 4 includes two new tools: Teamstudio Performance Profiler and Teamstudio Memory Profiler. Teamstudio Performance Profiler tightly integrates with IDEs and monitors application code as it runs. Teamstudio Memory Profiler identifies memory leaks and why the objects leaked. Both tools offer Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) and remote profiling.

Canoo plugs into WebSphere Studio

October 10 — Canoo has introduced ULC Visual Editor 1.0 for IBM’s WebSphere Studio Application Developer 5.0.1. ULC Visual Editor is a drag-and-drop graphical user interface (GUI) designer plug-in that gives developers real-time feedback during interface development.

JNBridge links Java and .Net

October 10 — JNBridge has released JNBridgePro 1.4, the latest version of its Java-.Net interoperability tool. Enhancements include support for continuity of business (COB) solutions via an automatic failover mechanism, more flexible configuration, and faster proxy assembly.

Cape Clear boosts Web services for telecom industry

October 10 — Cape Clear 4.5 includes three products, Studio, Server, and Manager, which enable the design, development, integration, deployment, and management of Web services-based business services. Version 4.5’s new features include asynchronous processing, notification services, event management, mobile device support, and support for the PARLAY-X telecommunications standard.

AccuSoft enhances ImageGear

October 10 — AccuSoft has updated its ImageGear imaging toolkits, ImageGear Professional Edition version 13 and ImageGear Enterprise Edition version 13. The new releases include integration of the Adobe PDF library. Other enhancements include improvements in file format handling, compression, and performance, including OpenGL-based rendering for CAD documents and better CGM file support.

Birdstep releases RDM Embedded 7.0

SwingSet swings into action

October 3 — SwingSet is open source Java toolkit that allows the standard Java Swing components to be made database-aware. SwingSet uses SSTextDocument, a PlainDocument extension, to link JTextField or JTextArea to a database column within a RowSet. Custom classes are also provided to replace JComboBox and JCheckBox.

September 26 — Sonic Software has added Sonic Orchestration Server, Sonic XML Server, and Sonic Integration Workbench to its enterprise service bus (ESB)-based Sonic Business Integration Suite. Sonic Orchestration Server provides business process management capabilities; Sonic XML Server offers XML processing, storage, and query; and Sonic Integration Workbench provides tools and servers for modeling, testing, and deploying integration projects with the Sonic ESB and layered products in the Business Integration Suite.

Data Junction connects with TeleworX

September 26 — TeleworX now uses Data Junction technology as the embedded database integration component of its JaX fixed network planning and optimization tool. TeleworX imports traffic routing data and equipment information from its customers’ databases using a Data Junction technology-based graphical user interface. That information is reformatted and imported into JaX. JaX then utilizes a set of algorithms to automatically optimize network designs and provide routing alternatives.
