Until recently I didn’t quite understand the business reasons for alternative Android application markets existence. Highscreen PP5420 Android phone appeared on the market and now I see the light: this phone comes with NO Market application installed! It appears that Google Android Market application needs some special contract to be established between Android phone supplier and Google. And, apparently, Highscreen failed to establish one for whatever reason. Definition of a Free Market: “A Market where buyers and sellers can make the deals they wish to make without any interference, except by the forces of demand and supply”. Google Android Market clearly doesn’t fit in this definition. This makes alternative Android markets the only way Highscreen users can receive Android applications. Fortunately some of the market are mature enough to provide an Android application that can be installed and used to get more Android applications: I’m talking about Andappstore and their /Andappstore Client
