Inproware will operate as a division of Achievo, which specializes in Java, .Net and embedded apps development U.S. outsourcing services provider Achievo plans to acquire Inproware, a German IT services provider. The deal will help Achievo, which has development centers in China, tap into growing German demand for outsourcing services, the company said Monday.Inproware will operate as a division of Achievo. Hans Donat, the chief executive of Inproware, will continue to head the division, reporting to the head of Achievo’s German unit, Achievo ICS, the company said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.German demand for outsourcing services has the potential to match that from Japanese and U.S. companies, Achievo said. Reflecting the potential Achievo sees there, the acquisition of Inproware is the company’s second purchase in Germany. In 2005, Achievo acquired ICS Software AG, which became Achievo ICS. The acquisition of Improware gives Achievo access to new customers, most notably car maker Audi AG. Another client, Klinikum Ingolstadt, gives the company a foothold among German health-care providers, it said.Based in San Ramon, California, Achievo operates a network of offices in several countries, including the U.S., Canada, Japan and Taiwan. These offices provide front-end services for Achievo’s customers while back-end development work is outsourced to the company’s development centers in China.Achievo specializes in software development for Java, .Net and embedded applications.
