Company plans to address core ALM processes Borland Software is blending process improvement and skills training services with its Borland Tempo software to provide the Borland IT Management & Governance (ITM&G) Solution.The effort is intended to help customers achieve IT and business alignment, increase control over IT projects, improve resource utilization, and ensure regulatory compliance.ITM&G purports to link a top-down, business-driven strategy and decision-making with day-to-day IT management. Automated best practices are featured for executing projects. Tempo includes a Web-based technology suite with enhancements to its dashboard, project, portfolio, and document management functions. IT management and governance is on the minds of IT persons these days, according to Borland.“Most IT leaders understand that IT management and governance is a subject they want to address at this point,” said Greg Rice, senior director of product marketing at Borland.Part of Borland’s services will include expertise in CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration). The ITM&G offering is to be the first of several solutions from Borland to address core processes as part of the company’s Software Delivery Optimization (SDO) strategy for application lifecycle management (ALM).
