JBoss to certify third parties to offer training courses for all of its products

JBoss is hoping to sign up partners who will offer more complete training services around its stack of open-source Java middleware, the company said.

Until now, JBoss didn’t certify third parties to offer training courses for all of its products. Increased demand for the services has prompted it to rethink that strategy, the company said Monday.

The JBoss Authorized Partner Training Program now lets third parties offer the full training curriculum for its JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite, which includes the JBoss application server, JBoss Portal software, jBPM business process management software and other components.

Businesses often cite concerns about a lack of available training resources when considering whether to use open source software, although the situation has been improving in recent years with the wider use of such products.

JBoss training partners include: Cignex Technologies, in Santa Clara, California; Valtech, in Dallas, Texas; Sadalbari Open Software, in Cape Town, South Africa; and Business Systems Group Holdings (BSG), in London.
