Tech giant renames its chip division Motorola Inc. has renamed its Semiconductor Products Sector, due to be spun off later this year, as Freescale Semiconductor, the company said in a statement Friday.Scott Anderson, an executive vice president of Motorola, remains president and chief executive officer of the renamed business unit.
