Wai Wong to head BEA's product development group BEA Systems Inc. has hired the Computer Associates International Inc. executive responsible for CA’s Unicenter line of enterprise management software to head BEA’s product development group.Wai Wong, who until July was employed as CA’s senior vice president and general manager of Unicenter solutions, will start as BEA’s executive vice president of products in September, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Alfred Chuang, a BEA spokeswoman confirmed.Wong will be responsible for the development of all BEA products, filling a role vacated by Olivier Helleboid, who was made executive vice president of corporate development in February, BEA said. Wong is a 16-year veteran of CA who has held a variety of management positions in CA’s research and development, quality assurance and support groups, according to CA’s Web site.
