Dutch, French, German versions readied

PeopleSoft is prepping for imminent release Dutch, French and German versions of all of the applications in its Enterprise Service Automation (ESA) for IT line of cost-management software modules.

“There was a huge interest from our customers in the Netherlands, France and Germany,” said Carr Phillips, PeopleSoft’s ESA product marketing director. “There are other translations that are going on, but those are the ones that we decided to highlight, based on our customer contact.”

The new translations will be available on March 17. As of that date, the ESA suite will also be available in Canadian French, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.

ESA is one of several portfolios within PeopleSoft’s high-end Enterprise product line. The portfolio includes 10 modules intended to aid technology companies with contracts, billing, cost projections, project management and other business operations.

PeopleSoft does not provide retail prices for its products, citing the variability of its licensing costs, which it calculates according to a complex model factoring in the customer’s industry, size and annual revenue.

PeopleSoft also announced Monday the forthcoming availability of an integration pack for tying one of its ESA modules, Project Costing, with SAPs General Ledger system. The pack, due March 24, will handle out-of-the-box integration of connectors, data routing and cross-reference maps between PeopleSoft’s software and SAP’s, the company said.
