Developers can create mobile apps with M-Business that sit on top of SQL Studio Anywhere iAnywhere Solutions Inc. is releasing a free developer version of M-Business Anywhere, used for delivering Web-based applications to mobile devices, and has integrated the software with its SQL Anywhere Studio database, the company will announce Tuesday.iAnywhere, a subsidiary of Dublin, California-based Sybase Inc., acquired M-Business Anywhere when it bought AvantGo Inc. about a year ago. The software drives the AvantGo mobile Internet service, which lets subscribers view Web pages on handheld devices.Integrating M-Business Anywhere with SQL Studio Anywhere, a relational database for use on PCs and handheld devices, means developers will be able to create mobile applications with M-Business that sit on top of SQL Studio Anywhere, said Ojas Rege, iAnywhere’s senior director of mobile solutions. “They’ll be able to leverage a full-featured relational database to develop mobile Web applications,” he said.iAnywhere sells three versions of M-Business Anywhere. The new developer version has the same features as M-Business Anywhere Application Edition, Rege said. The difference is that once an application has been developed, customers must buy a license for the product before they can deploy it. Software Development
