Michael Bealmear tapped as CEO of performance optimization vendor HyperRoll Sybase Inc. is losing its head of field operations, as top executive Michael Bealmear heads off for the chief executive officer (CEO) position at performance optimization software maker HyperRoll Inc.Bealmear worked at Sybase, based in Dublin, California, for several years in the mid-1990s, serving as the company’s worldwide services head before leaving in 1997 for a series of other industry jobs. In June 2000 he assumed the CEO position at services company Complete Business Solutions Inc., which later changed its name to Covansys Inc. Bealmear arrived at Covansys just in time for the tech-stock meltdown and left after sixteen months as the company’s revenue and share price sagged.Bealmear rejoined Sybase in 2002, where he has been serving as president of worldwide field operations. At HyperRoll, he will focus on accelerating product development and building the four-year-old company’s market share and industry presence, the company said. A Sybase spokeswoman said the company wishes Bealmear the best in his new position.
