Red Hat has set up a global services center in India that will assist its customers with deploying open-source technologies. The center will hire about 100 staff over the next 12 months.The company plans to use a hybrid model for service delivery. Besides its own in-house staff at the services center, the company will also work with Indian outsourcing companies to deliver services to its customers, Red Hat said Thursday.India is a pioneer and leader in the global services delivery model and the Indian development community is widely recognized for its expertise and its contribution to open-source development, the company added. Red Hat already has a tie-up in this connection with Satyam Computer Services, an outsourcer in Hyderabad.
