Company will hire 50 employees there to work on memory technologies

Rambus has opened a new design center in Bangalore, India, the company announced on Thursday.

Rambus, which licenses intellectual property used in memory chips, plans to hire 50 employees by year-end at the Bangalore facility to work on various memory technologies, according to statement from the Los Altos, California company.

A number of multinational technology companies including Intel Corp., Texas Instruments Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. have also set up chip-level design facilities in Bangalore, India, to take advantage of the low-cost, skilled design engineers available in the city.
