Dreamforce show previews Winter 2006 release, new "mash-up" toolkit Salesforce.com kicks off its third annual Dreamforce user conference on Monday, pledging details about the next release of its on-demand CRM application and to release a toolkit for creating application “mash-ups.”Salesforce.com plans to preview its forthcoming Winter ’06 CRM application suite release. The company also will release the final version of its AJAX (Asynchronous Java and XML) toolkit, which lets customers combine or mash-up externally based Web services with Salesforce.com features. Dubbed Smashforce, it helps subscribers integrate Salesforce.com’s sales software with outside apps such as Google Maps.Salesforce.com partner news includeds Intacct’s launch of applications for invoice, expense, and procurement management that plug into Salesforce.com’s software. And Sybase’s iAnywhere is introducing the next version of its mobile Sales Anywhere software, adding BlackBerry support and more advanced search capabilities. Separate from the Dreamforce show, Salesforce competitor Siebel Systems this week will announce Siebel CRM OnDemand Release 9, which will include full IBM Lotus Notes integration as well as integration between OnDemand contact centers and any Siebel on-premises CRM application.
