Handset based on Windows Mobile 2003, XScale chip Pantech will begin selling a Windows Mobile-based smart phone in South Korea later this month, the company said Monday.The PH-S8000T is based on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition operating system and Intel’s XScale Bulverde processor. Other features include a 1.3-megapixel camera and an MP3 music player. It measures 92 millimeters by 49 mm by 26 mm and weighs 141 grams.The phone, which will be sold under Pantech’s Curitel brand-name through SK Telecom, is compatible with the CDMA2000 1x EvDO cellular standard.
