webMethods tackles compliance, MicroStrategy moves onto Red Hat, NetContinuum boosts appliance lineup, and Kerio upgrades e-mail server

webMethodskicks off series of compliance products Integration vendor webMethods last week unveiled the first piece in a series of what it calls Business Process Productivity. Its webMethods for Compliance helps customers monitor transactions and business processes for Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulations. The offering includes BPM functionality that enables modeling and executing business processes that encompass certified requirements, controls and monitoring for identifying events and violations, document management features for controlling and disclosing procedures, and a compliance dashboard for viewing processes and key performance indicators. MicroStrategy hops onto Red Hat MicroStrategy earlier this month announced MicroStrategy 8 certified on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The software features a unified architecture for reporting, analysis, and monitoring. It is compatible with 64-bit server processors, and a single code base ensures enhancements can be made available on platforms that MicroStrategy supports: Windows, AIX, Solaris, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. NetContinuum adds to appliance roster NetContinuum has unveiled a new high-performance appliance, the NC-2000 Application Security Gateway. The NC-2000 consolidates network, application, and XML firewalling; caching; compression load balancing; traffic switching; SSL acceleration; and logging on to one device. Kerio rolls out messaging server Kerio Technologies introduced last week its Kerio MailServer 6.1, tailored for organizations with 20 to 500 users. Version 6.1 adds the Kerio Synchronization Plug-in for Outlook for offline synchronization; dual anti-virus controls; and support for Sender Policy Framework and SpamAssassin 3.0.2.
