Computer Sciences Corp. has signed 96 federal government contacts and subcontracts in Q4 alone Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) has won up to $575 million worth of U.S. government contracts since Oct. 1, the company announced Thursday.CSC, the reported target of an acquisition earlier this year, has signed 96 federal government contacts and subcontracts in the last quarter of 2005, the company’s fiscal third quarter, CSC said. The contract lengths range from one month to five years.U.S. civilian agencies accounted for 42 of CSC’s contract awards, with a total value of about $271 million. Department of Defense agencies accounted for 55 awards with a total value of nearly $304 million, CSC said. Among the agencies awarding CSC contracts were the U.S. Army and Navy and the Centers for Disease Control. CSC, which provides consulting, systems integration and design, IT and business process outsourcing, applications, and software, wasn’t able to immediately provide a breakdown of the contract awards.News reports in November had Lockheed Martin Corp. and a group of private equity investors interested in buying CSC.
