Akamai Locks Down Media With DRM Support, TippingPoint Trips Phishers, Verity Launches Business Search, Fujitsu, Software AG Team for SOA Integration Akamai locks down media with Windows DRM Akamai Technologies this week will introduce Version 2.0 of its Akamai Media Delivery offering, adding DRM (digital rights management) capabilities, enhanced Flash support, and new reporting tools. The DRM tools come from support for Microsoft’s Windows DRM, providing Akamai customers with a single portal through which to manage audio and video content as well as license delivery. Also added in Version 2.0 is support for secure Flash content streaming, aimed at protecting and monetizing Flash-based content; and new tracking and reporting features within a customer dashboard in the EdgeControl user interface portal. Verity Search integrates searches from the enterprise desktop, e-mail, secure corporate repositories, public Internet, databases, content management systems, and subscription-based Web sites. The Verity Search product lineup will include the forthcoming Verity Business Desktop, available generally in November.
