ACTIONAL, WHICH PROVIDES management products for Web services, on Monday tapped a former high-ranking Tibco executive to become president and CEO. Frank Bergandi previously served as executive vice president of worldwide sales and field operations at integration giant Tibco. His primary objective in taking the helm at Actional will be to further develop the company’s Web services strategy, according to company officials. Actional’s flagship product, SOAPswitch, is a Web services gateway designed to allow customers to successfully publish, secure, and manage Web services.
