Suite boasts high-end features

Ability Plus Software is targeting budget-strapped IT shops with a streamlined alternative to more resource-hungry office suites.

The company’s Ability Office boasts high-end features found in Microsoft Office and similar products, but requires only 40MB or less of hard disk space and 32MB of RAM, and can be installed on any system that has Windows 95 or newer operating system.

The cost-effective Ability Office suite, priced at $49.99, consists of the Ability Write word processor; Ability Spreadsheet; Ability Database, a SQL-based relational database program comparable to Microsoft Access that lets users quickly create simple queries on-the-fly; the Ability Photopaint photo and image editing program; and the Ability Draw drawing tools that let users create object-based logos and banners for insertion into documents, spreadsheets, and database forms.

Ability Office is an easy-to-use integrated suite that facilitates cross-application linking and is file compatible with Microsoft Office as well as Adobe PDF and all the major photo file formats.
