PROCLARITY ON MONDAY rolled out the latest release of its analytics platform, which is designed to allow users to capture and distribute best practices and collaborate on decisions. Release 5 of the platform is tailored to individual users instead of forcing users to conform to the tool, said Clay Young, ProClarity vice president of marketing. “We focus very heavily on building a collaborative analytic platform … and integrating seamlessly into business processes,” he said. “The users don’t have to know any query language. We capture and propagate knowledge of how business should run in a central repository. I can link out to an analyst’s report. I can link to information in the ERP [enterprise resource planning] system. I can go outside the standard analytic database environment to help augment the decision making process.” Upgraded within Release 5 is the ProClarity Analytics Server, which is designed to expand the analytic capabilities and scalability of the product suite. The new release also includes the new ProClarity Selector product, which is designed to allow users to extract actionable information from the massive amounts of data they collect and share that data with other users. In addition, the new Business Reporter for Excel provides wizards to guide users through the process of importing or exporting data from ProClarity into Excel while maintaining a continual link to the data source.
