STRATIFY ON TUESDAY rolled out a pair of integration adapters designed to bring taxonomy and categorization capabilities to portal products from BEA Systems and Plumtree Software. The Stratify Portal Adapters aim to help portals organize information that is gathered from multiple back-end sources and applications, according to Stratify officials, in Mountain View, Calif. In addition, the Stratify Portal Adapter for BEA and the Portal Adapter for Plumtree use Web services APIs in the Stratify Discovery System to provide direct access to enterprise taxonomies. This allows portal users to directly search and navigate through millions of documents that are organized by the Stratify architecture. The adapters can communicate with other BEA portlets or Plumtree Gadgets, classify documents and information in real-time, and offer related topics or associated documents. To meet specific business process requirements, the Stratify Portal Adapters are made of functionally specific components so that implementations can be easily customized, according to Stratify officials.
