JD EDWARDS ON Tuesday announced two new self-service Web applications designed to allow businesses to help themselves to critical information securely and inexpensively. In addition the company rolled out a new version of its OneWorld Portal, designed to allow users to access JD Edwards’ applications and content from any terminal, laptop, or PocketPC device via their browser. With the new Supplier Self-Service application, partners along the supply chain can obtain account information, purchase orders, release schedules, and supplier performance analysis stored within a buyer’s JD Edwards OneWorld system. The Customer Self-Service application is designed to allow customers to enter and modify forecasts, review sales orders and invoices, track shipments, and review account balances.
