WebGain sells off more assets

WEBGAIN, WHICH HAS been selling off its assets lately to companies such as Oracle and TogetherSoft, on Monday will announce an agreement to sell its WebGain Application Composer product to application infrastructure software company DigiSlice. Application Composer is a Java-based component integration development environment with a graphical user interface for manipulating complex program code, according to DigiSlice and WebGain. DigiSlice will continue to develop the product, according to a WebGain spokesperson. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. DigiSlice resellers will provide technical support to customers as part of the company’s new business strategy. Ongoing plans for Application Composer technology include a strategy of building partnerships to resell the product. DigiSlice provides a suite of application infrastructure software products based on Enterprise Component Integration (ECI) technology.
