German airline's IT service unit strikes support agreement with SuSE Linux DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY — To better meet growing customer demand for the Linux operating system, Lufthansa Systems Network, an IT service unit of the German airlines Lufthansa, has struck a support agreement with SuSE Linux.The two companies have agreed to a business partnership that will provide Lufthansa Systems with technical support from SuSE software engineers in areas such as new installations, problem solving and special projects, SuSE said Thursday in a statement.Lufthansa Systems said in the statement that numerous customers in the airline industry have expressed interest in deploying open source Linux software.
