Optane Family is shipping

Mercury Interactive is now shipping Optane for J2EE, which is application delivery and management software intended to improve application quality, performance, and scalability, the company said this week.

Mercury’s technology lowers the risks associated with deploying and managing J2EE applications and features performance diagnostics technology from Performant, which Mercury recently acquired, according to Mercury, of Sunnyvale, Calif.

Optane for J2EE features a family of products that spans phases of application delivery and management, including Enterprise Java Bean testing; infrastructure validation; configuration tuning; capacity assessment; application fault management and application code diagnostics.

Users drill down into the entire application delivery and management process, according to Mercury. Included is patent-pending transaction breakdown technology that pinpoints the source of problems.

Pricing of the Optane software depends on configuration. Purchase options include the Optane for J2EE Management Software for in-production systems, Optane for J2EE Delivery Software for pre-production, or the complete Optane Family.
