INTERNET MONITORING AND management tools vendor WebSpy on Tuesday rolled out a Web-based reporting and analysis solution aimed at large-scale enterprise users. WebSpy Analyzer Giga is designed to handle high-gigabyte volumes of data contained in Web log files to perform historical trend reporting and help companies better manage internal Internet usage, according to officials at the Seattle-based company. The product will give users the ability to measure traffic volumes so they can better plan and manage IT infrastructure growth requirements, as well to track employee Internet usage for policy-creation purposes, officials said. Analyzer Giga can also aid in pinpointing the cause of security breaches on the network and in locating malicious code that can spread viruses. Key features include in-depth interrogation of log file data; Internet and e-mail usage analysis; custom reports in a variety of common formats; organization of data via configurable aliases and profiles; and task scheduling for “set and forget” data analysis.
