THE W3C (WORLD Wide Web Consortium) earlier this month released an update to its Jigsaw Web server, adding SSL support, fixing bugs, and enhancing performance. Positioned as an experimental platform, Version 2.2.2 of Jigsaw is available for download at https://www.w3.org/Jigsaw/#Getting-2-2-2 . It features an object-oriented approach to file storage and request processing to boost efficiency and extensibility. The Java-based software features a servlet API for invoking Java programs on servers, according to the W3C.
