VULTUS THIS WEEK shipped WebFace Solution Suite, which is intended to accelerate delivery of enterprise applications or portals over the Web. The package provides a Web-based presentation layer to remove obstacles associated with static HTML Web pages. The suite, featuring the WebFace Browser Application Platform and WebFace Studio IDE, is intended to “assist in fast creation and deployment of applications to a Web browser,” said Kevin Auger, vice president of business development at Lindon, Utah-based Vultus. The product presents a new paradigm in deploying applications, building a UI for presentation in a browser, according to Auger. Full-featured application windows are presented inside a browser complete with grids, tab folders, directory tree views, and drag-and-drop capabilities. WebFace technology enables delivery of consistent user interfaces. A user accesses a URL and WebFace libraries are downloaded, which can then be cached to the client. WebFace Solution Suite is priced at $5,995 per server for as many as two CPUs and $2,500 per additional CPU. Technology Industry
