Systinet upgrades WASP platform

Systinet on Wednesday is releasing Web Applications and Services Platform (WASP) Server for C++, a Web services infrastructure platform for building and deploying Web services in C and C++ applications.

The product supports the SOAP 1.2 specification, which is the latest version of SOAP and asynchronous Web services. Version 1.2 of SOAP features such improvements as better error handling and internationalization, an upgraded processing model, and alignment with the W3C Web architecture. WASP Server for C++ 4.6  interoperates with Microsoft .Net and Java-based Web services, the company said.

Also new in Version 4.6 is a security framework for customization of security functionality and a Dynamic Invocation Interface (DII), enabling an application to invoke a service that was not known prior to runtime.

WASP Server for C++ 4.6 is available for free testing and deployment on single-CPU systems. Beyond that, pricing begins at $2,000 per CPU, according to Cambridge, Mass.-based Systinet. The company released WASP Server for Java 4.6, which also featured SOAP 1.2 support, in June.
