Mercator enhances integration suite

EAI VENDOR MERCATOR this week rolled out Mercator 6.7, an upgrade to its integration suite that bolsters support for vertical industries and Java and enhances performance and reliability. The vertical tack mirrors a trend among EAI companies to pre-package business processes specific to particular industries as out-of-the-box integration solutions. Mercator is targeting health care, financial services and manufacturing, retail, and distribution with new processes in Mercator 6.7. One new solution, Mercator Supply Chain Visibility HUB Solution, is designed to aggregate supply-chain data into a common, standardized view for doing real-time reports and exception handling, officials said. Other enhancements in Mercator 6.7 include support for JCA (Java Connector Architecture) and JMS (Java Messaging Systems) as well as other industry standards such as AS2 for EDI over the Internet and RosettaNet and communications protocol CORBA.
