Click Commerce rolls out partner portal

CLICK COMMERCE UNVEILED a new partner portal product Monday that is designed to give companies a packaged solution with all the features needed to support online commerce, channel management, and Web self-service for partners and customers. Partner Portal 5.0 is an out-of-the-box software package based on Chicago-based Click’s existing partner relationship management products, but it is designed to reduce initial deployment and ongoing support costs. It includes a multitiered relationship management architecture, a partner portal framework, and a commerce application suite. Partner Portal 5.0 was developed using standard technologies such as Microsoft .Net to simplify the creation of Web services and deliver a flexible architecture for integrating the portal with ERP (enterprise resource planning) and other Web-based systems. In addition, companies can layer lead management, product configuration, inventory management, quotation management, warranty management, and other applications from Click into the portal, said Christy Mueller, vice president of marketing and business development at Click. Partner Portal 5.0 is scheduled for general availability in August.
