KIRKLAND, WASH.-BASED LINQWARE this week introduced an enterprise-grade IM platform, Collabrix, designed to combine a user-friendly interface with centralized management and security capabilities. Collabrix security features include SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and 128-bit encryption. Other capabilities include presence management, archiving, LDAP integration, and permissions-based administrative controls, all of which are necessary in large corporate messaging environments, according to LINQware CEO Tod Turner. In addition, Collabrix leverages the Citrix MetaFrame environment to allow real-time application sharing within a live messaging session.
