NEW YORK-BASED KAVADO on Tuesday announced that its Web application protection software guards Sun Microsystems’ Solaris operating system. The KaVaDo software protects networks at the application layer, according to the company. To that extent, KaVaDo offers a layer of protection not typically associated with firewalls and intrusion detection systems. The products from KaVaDo that work with Solaris include InterDo, a Web application protection solution, and ScanDo, a Web application vulnerability scanner that is included with InterDo. InterDo can be used to protect applications against cookie poisoning, database sabotage, protocol piggybacking, and stealth commanding, the company said. Versions that support Solaris 2.6, 7, and 8 are generally available immediately. Software DevelopmentTechnology IndustrySmall and Medium Business
