ANTELOPE TECHNOLOGIES ON Wednesday announced that the company’s Mobile Computer Core will use Transmeta’s Crusoe processor. Antelope recently signed an agreement with IBM to provide its Mobile Computer Core to IBM for Big Blue’s Meta Pad, a portable computer that transforms into a PDA. Antelope’s Mobile Computer Core will run Transmeta’s 800MHz TM5800 chip, according to Antelope officials based in Santa Clara, Calif. The 3X5-inch Mobile Computer Core weights 9.1 ounces and sports a 10GB hard drive. It is capable of running either a Linux or Windows operating system, according to Antelope. Technology Industry
