The companies will share technology, enhance Linux to meet needs of enterprise customers Engineers from Fujitsu Ltd. and Red Hat Corp. have begun working together at a Red Hat office in Boston to strengthen the capabilities of Linux for large corporations as part of a global Linux partnership between the two companies, according to Fujitsu.The Joint Development Organization will serve as a base for the two companies to share technology and develop enhancements to the Linux operating system that meet the needs of enterprise customers and strengthen customer support efforts, Fujitsu said. The newly formed organization extends a partnership set up in May between Red Hat and Fujitsu to collaborate on Linux development and marketing efforts, it said.In addition to the establishment of the Joint Development Organization, Fujitsu announced that Fujitsu Siemens Computers (Holding) BV would Thursday begin selling Red Hat products and provide support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux customers in Europe.
