Optimyz releases Version 2.0 of product

Optimyz Software is offering WebServiceTester 2.0 as a tool for testing and monitoring Web services, saying the product provides for lower cost of ownership of Web services.

WebServiceTester eliminates ongoing test script and test suite maintenance costs as well as the extra steps of developing a user interface for Web services and testing via a record/reply mechanism, according to Optimyz.

The product features automatic test case generation; support for J2EE, .Net, and SOAP attachments; headers; and basic authentication. Web services based on XML Schema also can be tested.

SOAP and WSDL are supported as standards.

Additionally, the tool enables regression testing to evaluate the impact of new fixes on existing functionalities of specific Web services. Support of histograms enables testing for satisfaction of service-level agreements.

WebServiceTester is available for free evaluation at www.optimyz.com. Pricing starts at $1,995.
