Open-source toolkit released for single sign-on

PING IDENTITY THIS week announced availability of SourceID SSO v1.0b, an open-source Liberty v1.1 Protocol Single Sign-on (SSO) toolkit for Java. The toolkit is the first component of a larger open-source federated identity management system to be developed and released by the SourceID open-source developer community, the company said. SourceID SSO focuses on Liberty Alliance Protocol v1.1 interoperability and easy deployment for Java Web applications, according to Ping. SourceID SSO is a J2EE-compliant Servlet that offers an advanced API for managing identity federation. It meets Liberty 1.1 requirements for identity federation, authentication, pseudonym and global logout, the company said. The toolkit is downloadable at www.sourceid.org. .
