The methodology behind the numbers In March, unique visitors to InfoWorld.com were presented with a pop-up box inviting them to participate in the 2004 Compensation survey. Visitors were given the option of bypassing the survey in order to go to their intended destination. InfoWorld print and newsletter subscribers employed in IT-related job functions were invited to participate via e-mail.The survey ended March 23, 2004, with a total of 1,092 respondents. Multiple answers were allowed where appropriate; not all respondents were required to answer every question.
