Functions supporting software development in the cloud include lab management capabilities for defining and modifying profiles and software stacks. Cloud provisioning and cloud management are offered.The product merges the SourceForge Enterprise onsite product with the CollabNet Enterprise SaaS-based product. Users can have the product deployed either onsite or hosted.Also offered in the product are enhancements for Subversion version control management. An agile-ready plug-in is offered for the Hudson continuous integration engine. The plug-in enables developers to share build results as part of a workflow. Role-based access control in version 5.2 provides distributed development teams with increased management visibility, governance, and control of software in Subversion repositories, the company said. CollabNet is the corporate sponsor of the open source Subversion project for software configuration management.Path-based permissions are featured for repository access control, enabling users to manage access to code trunks or branches.An onsite version of TeamForge 5.2 for 25 users costs $4,995 for a one-year subscription. Hosted pricing starts at $25,000 per year. CollabNet on Tuesday also is announcing integration with the VMware Studio product, enabling it to work in unified environment with TeamForge.
