Where can business people go to get good information about information technology? That's a great question that has no great answer. Dear Bob …For some time, I have been looking for a non-IT, business-executive-level publication that I might be able to share with the senior management team here to help them stay more up-to-date on technology trends.Our executive management committee is the steering committee for IT, and most of that group is either not comfortable with technology or certainly not well versed enough in IT in general to make good decisions. So much so that I’m tempted to try to start a business to plug the gap. Regrettably, that would mean entering into the periodicals publishing game, and that sounds way too much like work for my tastes, especially since this is what Business 2.0 tried to do. And it didn’t make it.Business Trends Quarterly is decent; if nothing else it provides a mainstream view of things, which would give your group some insights into what industry analysts think is worth paying attention to. I don’t love it, but have nothing better to recommend.
