HP announces the first all-in-one touch-enabled desktop system for the enterprise

In Las Vegas yesterday, HP announced the new HP dx9000 TouchSmart Business PC. What is equally cool is that the company told me about it first! (I had to wait until today to let the world at large know all about it — you know how NDAs can be.)

I’m going to have to wait a bit until these become available for review and I promise to get back to all of you on it… But you can read more about the dx9000.

You may not initially see the benefit of a touch-enabled system for the enterprise, but that is simply because the software applications that are necessary to take full advantage of it aren’t yet exploding in the market space. Not to worry, HP is working with developers to create more innovative touch applications for small businesses and the retail, health care, hospitality, and education markets.

Personally, I’m excited about it. Stay tuned for more on this when I get my hands on one.
