The offering is designed to allow project team members to manage projects, share ideas, and communicate effectively among multiple development teams and outsourcing partners. Built on Microsoft .Net technology, OneSpace.net features secure workspaces, Web-based meetings, and application sharing.

Serena unfurls TeamTrack 5.8

Serena Software shipped Serena TeamTrack 5.8, the first version of the issue and request management software released since Serena acquired TeamShare. TeamTrack is a Web-based offering for mapping, tracking, and enforcing business processes down to the task level in software-development projects. The key new feature in Version 5.8 is it can be deployed on a Unix platform, specifically Sun Microsystems’ Solaris OS.

Tamino XML Server launched

Software AG rolled out Version 4.1.4 of Tamino XML Server, featuring better search tools and an API for the C programming language. Tamino XML Server is a platform for storing, publishing, and exchanging XML documents. Businesses can exchange documents and data among suppliers, customers, and partners. Version 4.1.4 supports metadata searches of non-XML documents via the Tamino Non-XML Indexer, which can search on documents such as those in Microsoft Office or Sun StarOffice.
