Stratify unveils Discovery System 3.0

This week Stratify launched Version 3.0 of its unstructured data management software featuring new taxonomy management and analytical capabilities. Discovery System 3.0 offers integration with enterprise search, entity extraction for easily recognizing people and locations, and customized taxonomy views. New analytical functions include tuning for specific groups and business needs, and advanced visual analytical capabilities.

Linux messaging takes flight

Messaging vendor Scalix today introduced a Linux-based e-mail and calendaring platform featuring compatibility with Microsoft Outlook and Exchange. The offering consists of the Scalix Server, based on Hewlett-Packard’s OpenMail technology; Scalix Connect for Microsoft Outlook to access calendaring, scheduling, and shared public folders; and Scalix Web Access Web mail client.

Interwoven 6 launched

Content management vendor Interwoven rolled out new versions of its platform and content server, with a focus on improving business usability. Interwoven 6 introduced a new customization framework, a Web-services-based integration toolkit, and business solutions for sales, marketing, and IT. Version 6.0 of the TeamSite content server aims to give business users more control over content via a user-friendly ContentCenter interface.
