WS-* and REST Web services are supported. A rule repository offers versioning and rollback, governance, and lifecycle management. The WSO2 Carbon platform uses the OSGi framework to provide a modular architecture, WSO2 said. With Business Rules Server, users can, for example, incorporate rule-based logic into workflows run by WSO2 Business Process Server, use rule-based message mediation within WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus, or augment a governance scheme with rules using WSO2 Governance Registry.Offered under Apache License 2.0, Business Rules Server is available as a software download and as a WSO2 Cloud Virtual Machine for deployment on either the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) or VMware ESX.
